Here’s to the kind of joint that belongs on Main Street. The kind where Michigan meets Texas, the jukebox (if we had one) is always ready, and dinner has a tendency to turn into a few more rounds.
Union Rec brings the flavors, stories and good-time spirit of everywhere we’ve been back home to Ann Arbor. Think bold tacos and street food with a little Texas swagger. Comfort food with roots that run deeper than the Lone Star State. Grandma’s recipes, taqueria classics and whatever else we picked up along the way—all sharing the same table.
This is a place built for hungry people, thirsty people and people who showed up with absolutely no intention of calling it an early night.
Inside, the kitchen and bar keep things moving. Around the fireplace, along the bar rail, at the table with your whole crew—it’s all part of the same deal. Good food. Another round. Loud stories. Maybe a little trouble.
Union Rec is a little bit throwback and a little bit right-now. Part honky-tonk, part neighborhood joint, part college-town clubhouse. Western enough to get you in trouble. Ann Arbor enough to feel right at home.
